Your Reunion Committee proudly announces the line up for our 50th Reunion weekend!
Friday, October 27:
For those who have arrived and all local classmates we will gather informally at the 501 Kitchen and Bar located at 501 N. Birdneck Rd. (501kitchenbar.com). 501 will reserve some space for us in the bar area (to the left when you come in the door) so you may choose to have dinner or just drinks on your own! We expect to have a lot of catch-up going on! The restaurant is very close to the hotel. Virginia Beach has a free ride service “Freebie” if you need it! We expect to have a lot of catch-up going on, but they do also have music planned. We will be there at 6, music ends at 7, Happy Hour is 4-6pm
Saturday, October 28:
Kicks off at 11 am! Meet up at the front of PAHS for a guided tour of the school ( remember it is scheduled to be torn down, though we don’t have a clear date). One of the current guidance counselors ( now renamed Student Support) will give us one last chance to see our old Alma Mater and all the improvements made after the fire many years ago.
After the tour you may join friends for more catching up across the Blvd at Three Notches Brewery. While we don’t have space reserved, it should be plenty large enough for those wishing to go!
Then at 6:30 pm the big event begins! Join us at the Virginia Beach Convention Center (there will be signage directing you to our suite) for cocktails and Silent Auction which will last until 7:30. Register and receive your directory and drink tickets! After cocktails and a few hugs and kisses to your long lost friends, make your way to a table where dinner will be served to you.
We will be sending our dinner choices very soon and will need your response ASAP!
Around 8:00 we will have a few announcements followed by music by “Hot Cakes”. Dance if you dare, or just enjoy the oldies!
During break we will announce Silent Auction winners and you can make your way to the registration table to make payment ( please bring your checkbook, though we can take PayPal and Zelle, or cash) and collect your winnings!
Around 10:30 we will call it a night or you can regroup at the venue of your choice to carry on!
Sunday, October 29
Those staying at The Doubletree will meet in the restaurant around 9:00 for breakfast and we invite any others who wish to join us. It is a la carte and on your own.
That will conclude what we hope has been a very enjoyable weekend with fond memories recent and past!
